What data we process

Immatriculation number: When you request an access code, you provide your immatriculation number. We use it to derive your university email address deterministically (no external database lookup). We do not store the immatriculation number persistently.

Email address: Your derived university email address is used solely to send you the access code once. It is not stored afterwards. We use the official ÖH Email provider to securely send you that email.

IP address: To prevent abuse, your IP address is held temporarily in server memory (max. 1 hour, no persistent storage). It is not logged or shared.

Legal basis

Processing is based on Art. 6 GDPR as you voluntarily give us this data for the expressed purpose, we have other ways for you to not have to give us that data and still receive the service, but also to serve our legal purpose as student representatives for you.

Retention

We do not store your personal data persistently. Temporary rate-limit entries are deleted after at most 1 hour.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at) at any time.
